Chartered in 1926, First Federal Credit Union is Iowa's second oldest credit union.
First Federal Credit Union is chartered to serve everyone who lives or works in
Linn County. We can also serve relatives of existing members.
Become a member by opening a share savings account with at least $5.00 and you
can take advantage of all the services First Federal Credit Union provides.

First Federal Credit Union is a financial cooperative, owned by our members and
operated exclusively for their benefit. The membership elects volunteer directors
who govern the affairs of the credit union. Being a cooperative and having
membership representation are unique and distinguishing characteristics in
contrast to commercially owned financial institutions, which are stockholder
owned and operated for the profit of limited owners.
Members are provided a variety of savings accounts, which earn dividends and,
in turn, that money is lent to other members through many different types of
loan programs. After operating expenses and reserve requirements are met,
excess income is returned to the members in the form of higher dividends,
lower loan rates, reduced fees and additional services.
