Importing Your Account Information to Microsoft Money

  1. In order to import your account information into Microsoft Money, you need to be logged into your Internet Banking account.
  2. When you log into your account you will need to be on the Account Detail screen. You can get there by clicking the account number
  3. On the Account Summary page or by going to Account - Account Detail

  4. On the Account Detail Screen, scroll all the way to the bottom. You should see the following:

  5. Set the date range to the dates that you would like to import into MS Money, and click the Money 98, 99, 2000, 2001 button.

  6. After clicking the button, a screen should appear.

  7. On this screen click 'Save'. Next, choose the location that you would like to save it to. Somewhere you will remember so you can go and retrieve it later. Click 'Save'.

  8. You can choose to 'Open Folder' this will point directly where you saved the document. Or you can 'Close' the window and find it yourself.

  9. Since I saved the file to my desktop I went to my desktop and double-clicked on the file. Once I double-clicked the file it opened MS Money and the following screen appeared.

Importing Your Account Information into Quicken

  1. While in Internet Banking go to the Account Detail screen, on this screen scroll to the bottom and choose the dates that you would like to download activity for and click the program that you are downloading it to.
  2. Make sure the box "Save this file to disk" is selected. Click Ok.
  3. Choose the location where you would like to save this history. I recommend placing it in your C: drive and leaving it named Quicken (you will need to get this file later.) Once you have done this Click Save.
  4. You should then see a screen indicating that the information is being downloaded. When this is finished Click Close.
  5. Open your Quicken program and go to File - Import - QIF file.
  6. A screen should pop up after clicking on the above options. On this screen Click Browse.
  7. Now look for the file that you saved on your C: drive name Quicken. Remember this is a file not a folder. Select the file and Click OK.
  8. After selecting your file, you will be taken back to the QIF Import screen, on this screen click OK.
  9. After Clicking OK you should see a message. And you are done.
  10. Your information is now in Quicken.
